Pros

Fun job, good holidays, great people to work with, middle management were all great (band leader supports)

Cons

Pay is poor, limited progression opportunities, some of the people up top are narrow minded, arrogant and actually lack the knowledge to warrant the job role that they have

Pros

- Casually dressed, enthusiastic staff who care about children - Flexibility and ownership of teaching responsibilities - Rewarding purpose to educate the next generation - Charitable consideration and contribution is embedded into the culture

Cons

- Laboursome, multifaceted role - Long notice period - Limited development and career growth (PGCE teachers were prioritised over NQTs) - Many people going above and beyond for the love of the company not financially motivated making competition tight and rewards minimal - Isolating role, limited opportunities for teamwork

Advice to Management

+ Incentivise staff with career development such as teaching qualifications or more experience across other departments. + Financial incentives would be a game changer

Pros

The sense of family within the company - lots of WhatsApp groups and loads of like-minded people who are there to support, encourage and inspire. The kids! - it's amazing to see them grow and develop The workload - it was relatively low on admin, which meant evenings and weekends were largely free. The clear route for progression - it's definitely a company where you can grow in your role and move into new positions. The desire to reach every child - Rocksteady Foundation does amazing work supporting kids who wouldn't otherwise get the chance! This is alongside bursary spaces and pupil premium. Management are awesome - they care so much for the staff and for the kids we work with. That comes across at every meeting. Summer Camps - they're just awesome! The termly concerts - a great opportunity to see the progress kids are making

Cons

Quite a bit of heavy lifting - not so much a con as something to consider when looking at whether it's appropriate

Advice to Management

Keep inspiring the next generation of awesome musicians!
