What is health insurance like at SAP?

Pros

Within SAP, there are huge differences between the business groups (on-premise, Concur, Ariba, Fieldglass) when it comes to working atmosphere, tasks and culture but all business groups do follow the same HR and finance structure. This is from SAP Fieldglass perspective: - Lots of responsibility - Complete free on how to complete the tasks - Management is always open to listen - Management is easy to approach - Very informal way of communication - Diverse colleagues, no discrimination - Focused on end-customer - Flexible when taking holidays and working from home - Good base salary and generous benefits like pension, health insurance, etc.

Cons

- Internal promotion is capped to 10% salary increase despite external hires receiving a higher offer - Not transparent about profit and added value by business groups, teams and individuals - Every team has their own rules - Lots of misunderstanding between different business groups on how to work - Development of the application is very US focused - Higher management is predominantly US employees and teams - Employees that do not function well and not coached or reassigned to roles that do fit them

Advice to Management

Please continue the focus on diverse teams, management and acceptance of each individual how to work and behave. Some excellent steps have been made but this needs to continue even further. Please revisit your policies on promotions and salary increases. Although the base salary is more than good, it does not encourage internal candidates to know that external candidates will receive a higher offer. Please make a clear statement on what the future of SAP should be. That means is it really going to focus on just cloud and will also adopt the ways of working as the acquired cloud groups work or do you want to transform the cloud business groups to adopt the consultancy style of SAP? Either can be successful but now it is stuck in the middle with the both worlds clashing.

- Good base salary and generous benefits like pension, health insurance, etc.

Does SAP pay for a gym membership?

Pros

Flexible working locations - I do 100% remote work, but there are offices that I can go to when I need some people energy. Access to any SAP offices worldwide. Flexible working hours - many people work 4 days a week or on alternative working time. This can be arranged depending on the nature of your work and your team. Investment on people - SAP invests A LOT on people's wellbeing and growth. The company culture supports helping each other as well. I've been benefiting from shadowing and mentoring of amazing people around the world. Good benefits, free lunch and free gym.

Cons

The main London office is far from central London - hence the remote work flexibility! Large company - bureaucracy and silo can happen.

Advice to Management

It's amazing how transparent you have been. Please continue the good work.

Does SAP offer unlimited holiday?

Pros

Work-life balance at SAP is really good. The company cares employees well being really important. Vacation is not unlimited, but you can take extra days off or work remotely during a trip. For employees with health conditions, the company is very generous about employees taking sick days or sick leave.

Cons

Very slow. A lot of creative people end up wasting their time. There are so many org changes that don't look like a well-thought long-term plan. Upper-level management decisions don't get explained and understood.
