How is management perceived at Santander?

Pros

Good salary and benefits options.

Cons

No support from line manager or senior management, no training, whole business is under-resourced, inefficient workstreams, unhealthy culture towards work/life balance with many working upwards of 10 hours a day 5 days a week, and shaming those who work less than that and take lunch breaks. When a colleague took time off to look after her mental health, there was a terrible attitude about it. Lots of indispensable people, i.e. lots of processes fall apart when one colleague leaves/ is sick/ moves team/ doesn't put the work in - there's no continuity plan for when these people leave.
