Does Schlumberger offer parental leave?

Pros

In such a large, diverse company, it is not difficult to expand your experiences and learn new skills by moving around, which is encouraged internally. Benefits are good, particularly the maternity leave policy, and salary is very competitive. Highly recommend Smith Bits and MegaDiamond organizations for their innovative and product performance-driven cultures.

Cons

Within each individual organization, communication is great, but it can get a bit overwhelming to follow the business strategy and reorganization efforts of such a large, international company.

Does Schlumberger have a pension plan?

Pros

Free food, free snacks, Good benefits like OPD, Nice office, nice cafferia, pension

Cons

SLB PITC got lot of white elephants. This means the employees who are working with slb for 15+ years & they are used to do vendor management. 99% of senior employees do a coordinator/follow up job that creates to much pressure on new guys (in last 4 years) if u want to work, else vendor. I managed a team and raised concerned about few practice which were not required and was costly (billing wise) to the company. But managers were not ready and asked to stay out of it. So it is like a "Yes sir" company. If u give opinion you are called trouble maker.

Advice to Management

Management is good at oil and gas. But IT, they suck. They just need to understand with old practice & mindset company will not benefit. Stop Grade11 control and SETC in IT. Because of this, people have introduced so many tool and company pay hefty license fee. I was not liked too much, because I emphasized on using the existing resources.
