Pros

Great potential in the business.

Cons

Toxic culture. No suitable management with relevant experience or drive to lead the business successfully. Frequent job cutting and restructuring to save money in the hope of showing a profit for future investors. Staff not valued, staff are just numbers. Pure profit focused, not customer focused despite the marketing and HR PR! No long term plan, it changes every year. Dishonest management. Morale at all time low due to uncertainty in company's future.

Advice to Management

Board needs to change to one that understands IT and customer relations ASAP to save the business. Focus on customers needs and not solely TSG's profits. Focusing on the customers needs will bring the profits. Learn to value your staff or risk losing more great people!

Toxic culture.

There is still a long way to go

Pros

Easy to get too although you can’t get parked if you arrive after 9am.

Cons

I’ve never worked anywhere like it. They have a practice of filling senior positions with internal recruits who are usually yes people and schmoozers. The company is quickly becoming out of touch.

Advice to Management

Look external for talent and act on feedback.

Pros

Well set up for young inexperienced people to get that experience and move on to bigger, better things. They pay low compared to market (unless you sit in the Head Office!) and make most out of enthusiastic youngsters. Best thing TSG will ever do is to turn a blind eye to your willingness to progress making you look elsewhere. Salary near doubled only months after leaving due to high transferable skills, hunger to learn and progress and, of course, the low salary when moving on helps to quickly improve your earnings. Confidence boosting and much happier as a result.

Cons

No motivation to stay and progress with business. Total lack of honesty and transparency. If you take the initiative to want to progress you get told "No opportunity within "Dept X"..." only for a position to be created for friends a couple of months later. Hugely demoralising.

Advice to Management

Rather than plea to your existing staff to forcibly put rose-tinted views online, take some advice from the hints of those who are taking the time to express their frustration. Stop just looking after management and pay attention to the real talent. This will stop some of the sensible, top guys leaving, setting up competition and taking the best people with something between their ears with them over the road.

Total lack of honesty and transparency.

Pros

Great atmosphere Training supplied Wealth of knowledge from colleagues Opportunity for progression Great relationships with customers

Cons

Can be busy, which is mostly a blessing but there will be times when you are challenged.

Advice to Management

Interview process is lengthy, can be daunting for people with no background in IT and probably puts a lot of applicants off.

Great atmosphere
