Does The Department for Education (UK) have a pension plan?

Pros

Excellent leave, sick pay and pension. Perhaps the best "mission" in government, to improve education.

Cons

Pay is a little lower than the priv. sector. All the usual downsides to working in gov: bureaucracy, arbitrary decision making, culture of escalating decisions, too many tiers of management. Oxbridge elitism also pervades the middle and senior ranks.
