Pros

Salary and Benefits are good

Cons

The last 2 people who were hired for this position were let go before the probation period was over. In my experience, I was not provided any real training. I was told by the manager that I was not allowed to go to the other buyer for any advise that everything had to go through him, but when I asked him anything I was told to "look it up" There is a power struggle going on between the senior buyer and the manager that makes for a hostile environment for any new employee. The managers responses to emails were so rude and condescending that the senior buyer frequently apologized for his behavior, saying they are all just waiting for him to retire , but did nothing to help the situation. The purchasing department as a whole are very negative with nothing nice to say about anyone they deal with. The environment was not very welcoming or professional. They blame the new hire but I was left with no guidance, completely ignored, and belittled regularly. I would not wish this treatment on anyone.
