Pros

Great Benefits Package!! Great work environment!! Awesome people to work with!!

Cons

Many new things to learn and be challenged on, but once you get out of your safe space and embrace the challenges, it becomes a great opportunity for new experience and knowledge.

Pros

- Autonomous - Helps each team grow and learn on their own - Transparent - It's absolutely amazing to know how transparent a company can be. They even publish financial stats as a startup even when they are obliged to!! That's how transparent a company can get!!! - Growth - With the company handling scale to a great extent, it is an amazing opportunity to grow as an engineer and be a part of a fast paced environment

Cons

Not much to be honest. If I had to just nitpick, I would say, scale has taken a very big time thus derailing a dozen of new features to be released. That being said, quality is still the highest priority. It's between getting 1 thing correct vs many things OK.

Pros

Amazing culture - I work with people from all around the world on a daily basis. Everyone is working on a common mission. There is a level of trust that I haven't ever had at another job. Autonomy - You're treated as a valued member of the team, but also given independent space. You're also responsible for your own success and growth, but you have resources to help with this as well. Opportunity - So many opportunities, from advancement in the company, to travel opportunities, to the opportunity to create your own projects, work from home, etc.

Cons

I don't really have any cons. TransferWise may not be for everyone though. Especially those who are used to a very structured or corporate environment. There are teams, tribes, and organization, but you're responsible for yourself as an individual. If you're not used to this, or used to being micro-managed, you might not enjoy the environment here.

Advice to Management

Don't lose sight of our mission! And never forget, Customer>team>ego!

Pros

Benefits are slightly better than most US positions. In particular PTO and 401k match are pretty decent.

Cons

Poor communication, poor leadership, poor pay, poor opportunities for advancement in the Tampa location.

Pros

- Fast paced work environment teaches skills that may otherwise take much longer - Young people of promise are given a chance to take on important projects and ownership of tasks traditionally filled by older employees, in other companies - Opportunity to be be autonomous in achieving company goals - Opportunity to travel - Platforms to express ideas and discuss improvement areas - Opportunity to be involved in a fast-growing company that is pioneering a niche in the market - Dogs in the office - Working with highly talented and motivated people - Internal mobility to grow and change direction

Cons

- Workload and pace can be a challenge for some. This is never going to be a walk in park, whatever position or team you work in - Building processes and systems as we go can mean those desiring a structured workload can struggle - Requires a lot of dedication on an individual level - A lot is expected from each employee. Will be difficult for those with lots of commitments outside of work

- Internal mobility to grow and change direction
