What is overtime like at Turtle Bay?

Pros

-can fit work around studies -you don’t have to provide the float or pay a percentage of the bill back to the restaurant like waiting staff do

Cons

-cliquey -disorganised management -unclear break times -2 for 1 cocktails every day overwork the staff on busy nights -Not being paid for over time although closes would never finish on time -questionable blackface incident of a previous company

What do employees say about the location of the Turtle Bay office?

Pros

Great training - send you off for courses and train you at a different location for management. Decent tips

Cons

Works out around £10.50 an hour on 48 hour weeks. Only opens at 11 so if your in, your in all day and night. Extremely lax work environment, little to no rules. Dire hygiene in 3/3 kitchens I had been in.

Advice to Management

Pay a decent salary. You don’t give towards tips so don’t include that in what you think is good pay for Staff.
