What kind of career opportunities exist at Unit4?

Pros

Brilliant team, where you can have the opportunity to learn a lot of different things, grow with the company and make a meaningful contribution. There's a lot of trust within the global team, plenty of flexibility, everyone is keen to learn and help each other and opinions are always listened to. Loads of responsibility and total trust from early on. Sense of purpose is clear, well lead, team focused. Early exposure to senior people, both internally and at customer organisations.

Cons

Like in any growing company experiencing huge change, there's occasionally some uncertainty and last minute changes to adapt to, so sometimes processes aren't ideal but it's down to you to improve anything you want to improve.

Advice to Management

Keep listening, invest in more training, improve interdepartmental collaboration

Brilliant team, where you can have the opportunity to learn a lot of different things, grow with the company and make a meaningful contribution.

How are promotions handled at Unit4?

Pros

Good vision, inspiring working culture

Cons

Worked almost 3 years, the total picture looks very promising, but when it comes down to the people doing the work, is a total disaster. Management focussed only on hitting targets to get promoted. Hardly any trainings, trainings being fabricated by the slogan, you get to train yourself! Promotions based on clueless criteria. Teamleaders destroying teams just to bail out to a different team. No care at all for employees. Strong hierarchie and yes man culture. Those helping the bosses out will get promoted, and make the life normal employees even more miserable. Don't forget the overworking of employees and blaming them for not meeting expectations. Shovel all the problems under the carpet so that higher management thinks it is all great. But the biggest travesty is, beside being unprepared, is the service the customers are getting. Its beyond appalling and this for an ERP being used globally. 80% of the 100+ employees on the floor have bailed out within 2 years, and guess what happened to the managers, all got promotions. What a surprise! This will never reach top managememt as current mid management and pro's in fabricating success. This all happened in the Polish office.

Advice to Management

Get rid of corrupt managememt

Promotions based on clueless criteria.

What is the feeling of job security at Unit4?

Pros

- Employee Benefits were attractive - Good learning ground for people at the beginning part of their career - Nice Pantry

Cons

- Management has no understanding of situation on the ground - Sales/Numbers centric mindset, with lack of concern on deliverables - Top heavy organization with many management level employees who mainly gather around the sales side of the business, who operate on a mindset that anything is secondary compared to revenue. - Company strategy in the APAC region seems to be punching above its weight class - Apathetic approach to employee engagement for many senior management. - Constant fear relating to job security

Advice to Management

Care more about your employees. Learn to have a little empathy. Seek to understand what challenges employees from departments other then sales are doing. Do less to wreck some of the precious culture that still remain within teams.
