What are pay rises like at University of Huddersfield?

Pros

There are none I can think of

Cons

Very poor organisation that is far too female led. You have a senior leadership team who are way out of touch with students, a chief exec too scared to change things, a chair who is far too involved and a board who are too scared to disagree with the chair. You have a completely demotivated staff team who would love to give more but aren't listened to as senior managers always know best. Its an organisation that claims to be flexible but if you have family you are looked on as a burden by the leadership and looked on as being able 'to do whatever you want' by staff without children. The marketing team have no idea what they're doing and the voice team just care about feminists because they are ran by women and the whole team is women. They should be representing the views of all students but they just sit at their desks all day. No one ever gets a pay increase despite working very hard yet the chief exec gave herself a 5k increase last year and the leadership team all got rises. I feel sorry for the officers who have no idea what they are doing, get left to it, but in the end they just follow the chief execs ideas and plans - how democratic. The chief exec also got rid of an officer last year because he dared to challenge her and the voice team.

Advice to Management

Do something different with your lives because you're not very good at this
