How are the career development opportunities at Virgin Trains?
Pros
Virgin Trains had a good vibe, with most team members going above and beyond to create something everyone could be proud of. Got to work with amazing agencies and high budgets and learnt so much from this.
Cons
Lack of career paths. Everyone had to do this 'steps to success' which was essentially a box ticking excersie with no real outcomes. Changed a huge amount overnight with First Group renaming to Avanti West Coast with loads of 'Virgin' people leaving. Then Covid hit and the DfT (Department for Transport) seemed to get involved on a daily basis with any bit of work.
Lack of career paths.
