Does Vocare offer unlimited holiday?

Pros

Okay pay with lots of well paid overtime available. Good location. Some friendly clinicians and other health advisers. Approachable Team Leaders. Well supported during emergency calls by TL and Clinicians. Made some good friends during training.

Cons

Little to no communication with higher management No regard for work/life balance. Demonised if you asked for holiday and often rejected annual leave requests no matter how far in advance, they refused someone when they asked for one day off for their wedding months ahead of time. Working 3 out of 4 weekends. Working most, if not all, bank holidays. Not allowed to request any time off during half term/bank holidays. Seemingly random allocation of Christmas shifts. Often very cliquey. Unapproachable, inexperienced management. Threaten to charge you £1000 for the training if you leave within a year of working there. Very quick staff turnover, new staff starting all the time to make up for people leaving. Recruitment are awful at responding.

Advice to Management

Have some respect for the people working for you! Communicate with your team. Be more understanding when people book time off, especially when it is done well in advance. Put more effort into the staff then the service (and profits) will improve!
