How are promotions handled at Walmart eCommerce?
Pros
Reasonable pay and work environment
Cons
1) Company is super political. Expect some people to be catty, some people to be territorial, and be prepared to be mentally tough. Don't let management fool you into thinking that people are easygoing - they're not. Full of Jerks in the management, if you are not playing their games, you will be forced out. 2) The workload is huge. Burned-out is inevitable and no one cares. 3) Promotions are predictable due to being based on favoritism and nepotism, which put non-experienced, non-human jerks in management team, a joke for an established company. 4) Lack of diversity, especially at WalmartLabs. Group thinking and covering-up for being unproductive. "Respect each other" is not part of culture now. 5) Preferential hire put a lot of unqualified people on their positions.
Advice to Management
Stop retaliating employees who pointed out process problem and implementation flaws. Start to hire capable ones and humans in the management teams.
3) Promotions are predictable due to being based on favoritism and nepotism, which put non-experienced, non-human jerks in management team, a joke for an established company.

Pros
Excellent work ethics and work culture Employees are friendly (in front of your face) Work life balance (only to those who are good in buttering manager) Free food Free cabs
Cons
Walmart is a very big organisation that holds a good reputation in the market. It is a dream company for many of the youngsters. But the management over here is very unpredictable. Managers and team leads involves in team politics. Being a big brand doesnt guarantee you any type of job security. Their will be a fear of loosing your job at any time. You need to take unnecessary leave approvals even if you are in some family emergency or you woke up sick in the morning. One of the worst policy ever i have seen in a brand. Hr is useless. One of the worst hr ever i had experienced. Always involved in team politics. Doesnt even bothered about discussing any company benefits and policies to the new entrant. They believe in referal hiring due to which talented people wont get the opportunity which spoils the work environment. Team leads itself dont have any important work apart from playing politics.
Advice to Management
