Is Web Spiders a good company to work for?

The average company with no benefits

lot... Avoid if possible to join this company, your personal life will be screwed up…Don’t believe in the ratings provided …it was a testing company and now they just started development work but all body shop job…hiring for the client only… I have been working with WS for the past 2 years and have seen people the way they behave, few managers are the most dangerous creature…if you work under them then make sure you will be going to work 24/7 and if you say NO …then you are out of the company… Serious micro-management, very less pay, HR Operation team don’t know anything about law, surprised to hear No job security

What is the company culture like at Web Spiders?
Pros
The culture is very relaxed and easy-going. Agilent offers great options to balance your work and home life and the people here have been nothing but great to work with.
Cons
Being a large company, it is hard sometimes to juggle resources that are spread out all over the world. The politics surrounding a large corporation like this can make life difficult at times but that would be true of almost any large organization in the IT industry.

What is a typical working day like at Web Spiders?

Too much and unexpected salary hike...!!!!!

There is issue with salary... I don't like the salary month structure (from 21st of month#1 till 20th of month#2) there. I have references to other companies, with 200+ employees they still give salary by the end of the month but here it is on 10th of month#3. There is no fixed so called log on or off time... I have experienced that people work late night here, I am so not into it. I don't like coming and working on any weekend, here it seemed to be quite often here. You can come anytime but you have to stay there for 9 hours, even if you don't have any work! The management thinks, you are slave to them and if you don't come to office on weekends, when ever needed, you are committing a crime. There is no work and life balance... I never thought shift time of 12:00 pm would be so much trouble some to me. And in future I may have to stay late night so it is kind of unpleasant for me. So I think I may can get toppled off the balance. I have noticed, people leave late night and has to come even early on the next day. Transport problem... The office is at Rajarhat, New Town; near Rishi Tech Park. On the way to office I find it is not easy to get transport, though I get Bus or shuttle from Airport Bus Stand. But on way back it is really hard to get any transport at all, I had to call Cab to reach every day. I don't like the project and all... The project handling is not up to the standard, it seemed no one has clues of anything what so ever. That is what making it slow and people need to stay for long hours to find and fix the issues. Thank God I left with in a few days to get back to the previous job. Please don't go there unless you have no other better job!
Advice to Management
WOW! Making people work more than 8 hour, day in and day out, is a crime! 'Do it now!', is possible when you are giving proper knowledge and material to the people who are working on the product.
I have noticed, people leave late night and has to come even early on the next day.
