Does Wesleyan have a pension plan?

Pros

None that I can think of apart from a company car which is needed as you are expected to travel long distances to see potential 'clients' who are marketed to as a free pension advice service and are not in the market for financial advice ! Oh and a dc pension scheme where your contributions are matched by the Wesleyan.

Cons

No management support. Impossible IT systems with very little support. Empty diaries with very little support. Impossibly high targets No work life balance Inconsistent compliance and financial report checking High staff turnover Too much reliance on client telephone reviews when they require face to face reviews * Management pressure on client telephone reviews....see above *

Advice to Management

Sort out all of the above or you will not have a salesforce or any clients come to think of it as the switched on clients are looking to transfer their business elsewhere.........

How are the career development opportunities at Wesleyan?

Pros

Close to 200 year old company, good brand name, good work culture, great bonus scheme. Great opportunities for career progression

Cons

Wesleyan HRs are the worst you will ever see. Not all of them but one or two of them are a real pain. Highly uncooperative, they take ages for reference checks, delay your joining date, these HRs who havent achieved anything significant in their own lives treat you with suspicion to the point that you do not feel like working for Wesleyan. Another worst part is 3 months notice period.

Advice to Management

Sack some of these arrogant Human Resources people. Their arrogance and incompetence means lot of good candidates dont bother joining Wesleyan and hiring managers are put in embarrasing situation.

How are senior leaders perceived at Wesleyan?

Pros

You'll hear many people say the best thing about working at Wesleyan is the people, and it's true. The atmosphere at Head Office (Birmingham) is welcoming, friendly and collaborative. We're right in the heart of B'Ham City, so it's a great location for commuters and the social element too. There's been a lot of change over the last few years at Wesleyan, some not so great, however I'm more confident than ever that the future here is exciting and there seems to be a big shift in listening to employees and getting things done.

Cons

Change has been slow and not necessarily landed correctly which has caused disruption previously, however we're getting there! With a new leadership team and strategy I'm confident that this 'con' will be rectified very soon!

Advice to Management

Keep listening to your people and we'll keep getting better.
