Does mpb.com offer unlimited holiday?

Pros

MPB is a growing company that is doing well to innovate in the market. I worked in the engineering which had some fantastic leadership, but did suffer from growing pains which I would hope are now resolved. There is a desire to continuously improve processes and feedback from the team is acted upon. Encouraged to leave on time each day. No unreasonable deadlines. Switched on, approachable CEO & CTO

Cons

Software team felt very disconnected from the rest of the business and it was impossible to tell whether the software we were building would be fit for purpose. Loud office meant that it was sometimes hard to get anything done (pre covid). As others have mentioned, I noticed a cliquey feel within the wider business.

Advice to Management

A huge amount could be done to bring different parts of the company together which would benefit everyone.

Encouraged to leave on time each day.

How are senior leaders perceived at mpb.com?

Pros

- Nice office - Free fruit - Work laptop (mac) - A lot of photography-related passion which can be inspiring - Good community feel - ideal if you are passionate about photo & video - The CEO is an extremely smart guy who wants his employees to enjoy working

Cons

- Clicky environment - I wouldn't call a lot of people who work there approachable - Some of management are borderline narcissistic - Not ideal if you're wanting to progress in digital marketing due to how repetitive the work is - A lot of pressure was put on me to manage a key revenue stream for the business when I only went in as a junior and I was then blamed when things didn't go to plan

Advice to Management

MPB is a cool place to work and 90% of the people who work there love it which made me feel quite out of place when I didn't like it but I just didn't feel comfortable here because of the unrealistic expectations that were put on me. I acknowledge that a company can't please everyone but my advice to management would be to just be a little bit more aware of the stuff you put on your employees and if something doesn't go to plan, work with them to solve the issue instead of pointing the finger.
