t went okay. I had initially applied for a different position, but was rejected. Afterwards, someone from recruitment/HR suggested this vacancy, which turned out to be an internal position.
I was invited for an online interview. The plan was for me to meet with two managers, but only one attended and joined about ten minutes late. Despite that, we had a fairly good conversation, although I sensed they might have already had another candidate in mind. The manager seemed a bit overworked, which I could understand.
Afterwards, I received feedback. They said I came across as a strong candidate, but the manager questioned whether this role would truly make me happy. She explained they were looking for someone who specifically enjoys “problem solving.” Since I hadn’t used those exact words during the interview, they felt I might not be the right fit. Another reason they gave was that I was considered too junior, which makes sense, as this was an internal vacancy and other candidates already had more experience within the company.
