I had an initial call with the TA and then had the take home assignment sent to me. I had 3 working days to complete it.
I fulfilled every requirement for the assignment and tested it thoroughly but received a generic rejection, something about tools and testing, in the end. I knew it was generic because I had come across another Glassdoor entry that had quoted the very same email. I replied with evidence of parts of my submission that fulfilled the very aspects they mentioned as reasons. A back and forth that could have been avoided by letting candidates who fulfill requirements defend their work on a call or better still honesty from the get go.
