The interview process was confusing from start to finish. The role was listed as entry-level but included “Senior” in the title and required 3–5+ years of experience, while also mentioning work with top-tier and enterprise accounts.
When I asked about compensation, I received vague and inconsistent answers. Eventually, I was told the base salary was around $50K, with an OTE of up to $120K — but that total included the value of benefits like insurance, fitness stipends, and office equipment, which should never count toward income.
I also asked about promotional timelines and mentioned that I understand they can vary depending on performance and business needs. The recruiter simply replied that “timelines can vary” and moved on without providing any real answer, which felt dismissive.
The initial recruiter screen was drawn-out and went well past the scheduled time without much clarity on next steps. Overall, the process felt disorganized and misleading.

Question 1
How far into the interview process are you currently?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Affirm in Feb 2022
Interview
It was a long interview process, but well worth it! I appreciated their thoroughness throughout the process and felt respected and valued the whole time.
It starts with an initial phone call with the recruiter, then a phone call with the hiring manager where you role play a sales call for the product, then you write and submit a sales writing exercise, and finish off with a final interview with a panel where you meet some team members and managers/directors.
The recruiter, Alli, was a huge help and made sure I was prepared for each meeting. Overall great experience!

Interview
You start out with a 15-minute call with a recruiter, then move to a call with the hiring manager, there is a take-home assignment and then your final interview. During the call with the hiring manager, there is an on-the-spot cold call. Throughout the hiring process, everyone was so kind it is clear this company sticks to its values of putting people first. Amazing company overall!
