Process was normal interview standard: Recruiter screening call over MS Teams 1st stage via phone via MS Teams 2nd stage was a presentation with CEO and stakeholders F2F Presentation was relevant to role

A couple of rounds. Screening with the recruiter, real-time exercise round with the hiring manager, and final round with Director and hiring manager. The overall process took almost a month.

Friendly, casual, tested both technical knowledge and also personal attributes to see how well would fit in to the team and company. Technical knowledge was via a practical exercise where I was asked to review documents as if I were auditing the company and then comprise a response/ email to demonstrate how I would feedback.

I applied through LinkedIn and was approached by recruiter. The first was with engineering manager, He said he impressed and will approach and schedule in 2 to 3 days. After one month I was approached back for second round. Interview was good. Was asked one simple coding question. And there was one take home test on shopping cart problem. As per the feedback I did great in the interview, to be frank I enjoyed the assignment. But I was offered very low salary for senior software engineer. My advise is if you are hiring for entry level engineers be upfront about it.

3 stage all remote via recruitment agency. First was a half hour chat about the role and myself, all seemed good and progressed to 2nd stage. Second was a technical test and more technical based discussion. Tech test was 45 mins, I got a working solution, which was a bit hard coded due to time constraints, but it passed their tests. Feedback was ok and I was invited for final stage. Third was a follow up on tech test and more of a company/team fit questions. I was not told the final stage would involve a follow up on the tech test - just that it would be a set of company fit questions, hence I did not prepare for it and that’s probably where I fell down. I have a life with a young daughter, and other interviews to prepare for - I'm not going to agonise and think too much about a tech test - I think they expected me to be thinking about it more than I had. From the final feedback, they seemed to think those 45 mins initial solution would be how I write all my code. Had they bothered to check my GitHub page they would have seen the type of code I typically write, outside of short time limits. They sounded a good company to work for and nice people, but ultimately I feel like I wasted my time, and they weren't honest with their feedback on the second stage.

The team was very quick and responsive and totally respectful. They appreciate real experience rather than optics. Unfortunately, had a very low and unreasonable budget for the role that made it very challenging.

It was in a friendly environment. The interview questions are not so hard. Manager tested my English ability and introduced me the colleagues and showed me the office. I got the job with only one interview.

The interview process was painless, well organized and I was provided with feedback and guidance every step of the way and in a timely manner. I was also given the option to meet with and ask questions of other future colleagues (outside of the interview pool), simply to ensure the fit was right and that I had all the transparency required to make the best decision for myself. Truly one of the best interview experiences I have had in a while. There was respect for my time, I was never left feeling unclear of next steps and the interviews themselves were very conversational and two-sided versus the typical interrogations that you often experience.

It was intense. Lots of group discussions and idea sharing. Then a 121 interview at the end of the day. Expect to be there for at least 4-5 hours. The staff seemed nice. It kind of felt like we were all trying to get our voices heard throughout the day which I wasn’t a big fan off, but it is what it is.

The smoothest process I have been through. I met four key stakeholders across four sessions. Each meeting was mutual and really enjoyable. The culture shone throughout the process and it’s clear why Alcumus are doing great things.
