      Full Stack Engineer Interview

      12 Aug 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Amber Electric

      Interview

First step – A one-hour Q&A session with short, direct answers expected. The interviewer mainly asked about my experience level with various tools and technologies. Second step – A straightforward coding challenge involving hourly electricity readings. I completed the task successfully, and they commented that my work was very good. However, the feedback for rejection felt vague and unhelpful. They mentioned the absence of a .git folder in my submission, even though it could have easily been requested if needed. I assumed we would review my commits in a later stage, but that never happened. This left the impression that the reason for declining was unrelated to my actual performance—possibly due to finding another candidate through referral.

      Question 1

The interviewer repeatedly asked about my experience level with various tools and technologies, moving quickly from one tool to the next.
