I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Airlines (Fort Worth, TX)
Interview
Applied online. The company was hiring dozens of new customer service representatives for the frequent flyer program. Received a call from HR department and scheduled an in-person interview. The interview was conducted at headquarters. It was a group interview in which everyone was asked the same question, and we took turns answering them. Afterwards, we each had to pass a basic computer skills test in Microsoft Word/Excel and answering questions from the website. Out of a group of 12-15 candidates, 3 were hired. Other groups were around the same or fewer. After passing the interview, was officially offered the position over the phone and after accepting, directed to go through a heath screen and urine test. After that, training was 3 weeks, full-time. Needed to pass some tests to pass training.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What experience had we had with the frequent flyer program.
First they assign you an interview, so doesn’t matter if you are available or not, and they don’t tell you when it is until about 5 days before. I scrambled to get my work covered for that day and in an email they tell you to get to the airport 15 min before your time. I get their on time but have to wait at the ticket line to tell someone I’m there. By the time I get to a person, it’s my interview time and it proceeds to take more time for the agent to tell someone I’m even there. At this point I’m late and the supervisor tells me that the manager said I’m late and I’ll need to reschedule. It’s not even 3 minutes past, and I’ve left work early and driven 30 minutes for nothing. They don’t even validate my parking for me, so now I have to pay to park for nothing as well. Don’t bother applying here, it’s a waste of time.

Interview
The interview process was professional and well-structured. It began with an initial discussion about my background and experience, followed by questions focused on my skills, problem-solving abilities, and how I would handle responsibilities related to the role.

Question 1
They asked me how I handle pressure when multiple priorities are competing. It stood out because it directly relates to the pace of the role and how I stay organized and focused
Not much to say, I didn’t get the job. I interviewed online and it was pretty straight forward, but I didn’t like the location I would’ve had to work at, so we didn’t proceed
