At the outset, the process moved quickly and I was not only contacted via email and via a phone message to set up the combination interview with the recruiter and with the hiring team. The interview went well, I thought and I was told that no matter, I would hear back in about two weeks. I was not. I was ghosted for several weeks, sent an email and finally sent another one and only then was I given the "we went with another candidate and it was a tough decision" line. That's great, however, the lack of consideration for the effort put in to preparing for an interview, researching the role and the org, acting as if the dozens and dozens of prior rejections didn't happen and presenting your best self, just seems like a lack of care and professionalism that one would expect from an established organization such as ASHA. Do better. We are people not bots.
