The recruiter was great, but that is the only positive with this place. I did an initial screen with the recruiter, then I had to do a personality assessment, and a couple of days later I was scheduled for an interview 2 weeks out. The interview was over zoom with my potential manager and a sales manager from another office who mostly led the interview. He started to grill me about why I would want to move back into an AE role after being in management. When I gave my answer, he acted like he did not believe me. Then the other manager asked me what concerns I had about the job, and when I gave my answer, she hinted about me having issues with prospecting. It was like they were answering the questions with their biases, or using reverse psychology to get me to beg for the job. Either way, the vibe was off, and there is no way I would work here. I took a look at prior AE and SDR interviews and I think Appfolio needs to adjust their interview approach, as well as some coaching on Diversity Equity, and Inclusion.
