I interviewed at BJSS
Three rounds of interviews that were promptly managed by a very communicative hiring manager, who was very helpful. A lot of good communication on what to expect next and how to prepare. The conduct was smart casual and in a professional setting.
- Questions on value management and iterations

I did 2 out of 3 stages. one with recruiter. Another with a PM. The session with the PM, half of the session was going through my skills and experience. the 2nd half we did a white boarding exercise which was quite generic and poorly planned on their part, given I wasn't able to share on Zoom or provided with the right tools.

First call with a recruiter - very chilled and nice, I liked that they didn't ask my salary and was very quick and effecive Then two rounds with hiring managers, both included a case study which I had to think about on the spot, I think I've done well in both however when I asked about the feedback why I didn't get the job recruiter tried calling me once and that's it I never heard from them, it didn't feel nice as it is useful for my career to know what I could have done better
- various case studies related to product management

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BJSS in Jul 2021
Standard filtering call with a member of the recruitment team followed by a bespoke online assessment. Assessment was well structured and based around assessing a number of key product manager skills. Quite fun to get your teeth in to. Slight problem in that the company didn't seem to know how the assessment software worked and kept contacting me implying I hadn't submitted the test which I had. I was beginning to suspect that it was a scam company when suddenly my test was found. Shortly after a member of the Product team looked me up on LinkedIn and determined I didn't have the skills. Mixed view of process. Not sure I agree with never speaking to an actual product person although the test was well thought out apart from them not being able to extract the results in a timely fashion.
- Standard run through of CV from recruitment. Specific product owner tasks as part of assessment

Initial screening call, followed by a takeaway task done online followed by a Zoom interview. Initial screening call: Quite straight forward where the recruitment lead asked about salary expectations, location etc. nothing unusual. Takeaway task: I had 40 mins to select a product from the list they provided and list 6 core features of that product. Then write user stories and acceptance criteria for 1 of those features. The last part of the task was to identify a query using some data. Zoom call: This was a video call with 2 people from BJSS. This part of the interview was by far the hardest and most unpleasant interviews I have EVER had. The interview process was difficult as it is doing it via video but was made worse as 1 person's camera was not working. I did the entire interview lasting almost 1.5 hours and I was unable to form a connection, read his body language and judge his level of engagement. He asked me multiple rapid-fire questions loaded with 4-5 other questions within 1 question and further asking more questions on top of trying to answer the questions he had already asked!! It made it an extremely unpleasant experience causing a great deal of stress and anxiety. This person left the meeting without thanking me for my time, efforts, preparation nor saying goodbye. Further to this, the other interviewer seemed uninterested and was sat back in the chair looking at her nails. In both instances, I felt unappreciated and there was a lack of respect shown. Overall, extremely disappointed, not a pleasant experience and not a good technique to get the best out of candidates. Advice to BJSS: Stop the role play game, get your laptop cameras fixed and respect candidates.
- Too many to list and even remember as the style of interview was a rapid-fire question followed by 4-5 sub-questions within 1 question.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at BJSS (Leeds, England) in Jan 2019
Contract role for NHS D via BJSS. Apparently no option for direct employment & had to be via BJSS. Very friendly although slow to organise things. Interview had odd questions but seemed to be ok. However the feedback was very odd & did not reflect what occurred in the interview. Asked for full feedback which took a month & was sent the same summary of their conclusion
