Interview
Received an email from BMO recruiter requesting a phone interview a few days after submitting my resume and cover letter. It took about two weeks to get a time slot set up for the phone interview. The initial questions were basic, she asked my current salary and what my salary expectations were for this position, have I ever applied for or worked for BMO...
After this the interview went downhill. The listing did not say what kind of part time availability was required. I told her what hours and days I was available (6 days and 35+ hours of open availability) and she proceeded to question me as to why I wasn't available to work an open schedule. I explained that I have a daughter and I would need to be able to be home when she gets home from school. She asked why I couldn't make other arrangements for my daughter and practically berated me for even applying. I felt like asking her how I would pay someone to see my daughter off to school and pick her up with the $10-$11 and hour she was probably going to offer me but I kept my cool and thanked her for taking the time to call me. I apologized that the 35+ hours a week that I AM available for a position that stated it was for 20-22 hours a week were not sufficient. Not a good experience. If you want someone with unlimited availability, then state that in your job listing!
Filled in a couple of multiple questions and went through some video answered questions. Got the invite really quick after applying to the position. Process was all automatic and digital based.
i applied for customer service representative job online, and i received an one way digital interview the next day. It gives one week to prepare and finish the interview. There's about 10 questions in total. Mostly are behavior questions.
