I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America (Denver, CO) in May 2024
Interview
Contacted by an outside recruiter. Had an initial phone screen, then a technical interview with the recruiting agency, then a video interview with 2 engineers. The technical interview involved some technical quiz questions and then a pseudo-coding exercise involving the creation of an API and a SQL request.

Question 1
What’s the differences between hashing and ecryption?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Bank of America (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2017
Interview
Very difficult interview process. Could not understand the interview panel whatsoever.
Entire sentences were lost and I asked them to repeat themselves far too many times.
They discussed Angular but never mentioned which revision and switched at random from 1 to 2. They were unfamiliar with the underlying technology and often seemed to just be matching keywords from a google search for 'angular js questions'
At one point they asked how do you manipulate the DOM?
I responded with Angular attributes such as ngClass, *ngIf, *ngFor [hide/show/hidden] etc etc.
They replied with "No. Directives."
"Directives are angular attributes..."
"No directives."
During one portion they interviewed me on sass which wasn't discussed at all in job description, nevertheless it would of been irrelevant because I didn't manage to make out a single word the interviewer said for the 10 minute portion.
They randomly would throw in standard google'd js questions like what is a prototype and hoisting but didn't understand the answers and once again just looked to see if I said words in the answer provided to them.
