The interview process started with an HR phone screen that was extremely simplified where I walked through my experience, told them what I knew about Belden, etc. Thereafter I was asked to take a series of online assessment tests. Some were skills and reasoning based, some were behavioral or aptitude based. They won't share any test results with you during or after the process however. I then had to take some more tests when I came into the office for the in-person interview. The in-person interview was originally supposed to be a panel interview with HR, the hiring Manager and the next level Manager. It turned into 2 separate interviews as the next level Manager wasn't able to attend. The actual interview was really just a personality assessment at that point. They asked a couple of behavioral based questions touching upon past work experience, but the bulk of the interview was me simply talking about my childhood, my family life, schooling, extracurricular activities, interests, and finally professional career. They really just wanted to assess how well I would fit in culturally. Finally, they ran a background check, MVR check and had me take a drug screen which was a hair test. First time I had encountered that level of a drug screen. Ironically, after you're working for the organization, they don't have any established drug screening process other than post incident. There is no random pool for hourly or salaried staff that work in safety sensitive positions within manufacturing or distribution. That fact led to many issues unfortunately. In summary, once you pass through the series of online assessments that can be somewhat stressful as you're in a timed environment, the in-person interview is a piece of cake.
