I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BevSpot in Aug 2024
Interview
I took a 2 hour test which I passed. Then I had an interview that I thought went well. I was told over email that they would be pursuing other candidates, and didn't respond when I asked for feedback. Overall I feel I wasted my time applying.

Question 1
Solve a javascript coding challenge that had multiple test cases. Some test cases required me to handle errors, faulty inputs, and infinite loop conditions.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BevSpot (Boston, MA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Coffee with our product manager quickly turned into an onsite interview. The dev team was great to meet and described a number of interesting challenges they're working on. Received a coding challenge to do over the weekend (4 hrs). And finally, one last interview to review the assignment. The CEO made me an offer after the second interview.

Design an algorithm for modeling an epidemic on a grid.
I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at BevSpot (Boston, MA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Initially I was given a 24 hours coding task to complete. It was an average problem. After a week or so, I was called for an on site interview. Did face two interviews and I was asked about my past projects and a coding problem(mentioned below in Interview Questions). These two interviews were fun and it was nice talking to the interviewers. They indeed have an awesome product!
It was one of the most disappointing processes!
1. There was no mention about the coding challenge during interviews. I did not get even a single review on my code(I highly doubt that they even skimmed through the code). Highly disappointing . Neither people who interviewed me nor the guy who managed my challenge did mention about it. Apart from coding practice, I believe the challenge was waste of time(considering that it was company technical interview)
2. HR did not show up on the day of interview! On the day of interview, I took half day off, considering that I would be facing 3 hours interview(back-to-back with 4 people). After two interviews, I was told that remaining two interviews were cancelled!
I might have not performed well in the interview, however, the whole process lacked complete respect for the candidates. Growing pains? may be. They sure have good product, but the interview process was a bit unprofessional.

Thank you for providing candid feedback about our interview process. We do not want our candidates to feel disrespected throughout the interview process and we understand your time is valuable. When we give a coding test, we always review it as part of the selection process prior to inviting candidates onsite for an interview with our technical co-founders. The leadership team along with our new People Ops department have taken this feedback and formalized a more structured recruiting process that ensures you know where you stand throughout the entire recruiting process and interviews.
