I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Nov 2016
Interview
Phone interview, onsite superday. Pretty straightforward stuff, nothing too crazy. first round with a recruiter, then a couple of rounds with management in the department. I will say the recruiter was pretty organized and the whole process moved decently fast. That being said, I have heard stories that are exactly opposite of this, so your mileage may vary.

I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Aug 2011
Interview
Recruited at an on campus event. Went to NY for in person HR interview. Met with HR and head of desk. Offer extended. Total 2 week process. Overall fairly straight forward and easy. Since this is a sales function they are mainly checking for personality, intellect capacity and culture fit.
