The first interview went well. They liked my portfolio and complimented my work. I was asked to complete a pretty big project as an audition. I put in a lot of effort and hard work. Once I submitted it, they sent me a generic "we are moving on to other candidates" email. I reached out for feedback and was told that they would call me the next day to discuss. No call ever came. I understand that people are busy. I have been on the hiring side and I know what it's like to shuffle through resumes. However, when someone puts so much hard work and time into an audition, it's very unprofessional to "ghost" them afterwards.
