I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CNN in Nov 2012
Interview
I submitted about a dozen applications on the site. Within about a week I heard from the HR manager asking me if I was eligible for credit and what programs interested me the most. He scheduled an interview with the News Bureau in NY and received a call about two weeks after. I was caught off guard in class and missed it before I could answer and we ended up playing phone take for about a week. Finally I was driving and received the call from the bureau manager and managing editor and we had a surprise phone interview. Asking the usual questions "why cnn?" "tell me about past experience" "what are you interested in pursuing as a career" etc. Very easy, especially if you know the answers already! BE PREPARED! I received an e-mail and accepted the position about a week later
