Capital One Product Manager Interview Questions

First round was with a recruiter. These were the questions I got. Tell me about yourself? Why are you interested in this role? What is your process in designing a product? Tell me about a time when you worked with others on a team. 2nd round was a mini case, no behavioral questions. It will be on either the Capital One Shopping browser extension, the Capital One Virtual Card Numbers widget or the Capital One Mobile App. If you pass this round then the next round is a super day (4 hours of interviews in one day with breaks in-between). After that is a behavioral interview with a senior person where they deep dive on your experiences.

The interview process was very lengthy: there was the initial interview with a recruiter which was then followed by 4 rounds of interviews with other product staff. The final one is Power Day: 4 hours of back-to-back interviews so it's pretty intense.

Round 1 is a mini case with behavioral questions. Round 2 is a power day that is 4 hours long with 2 consulting cases, 1 product design case, and 1 behavioral case. Similar to what the other interviews said, if you don't do well on all parts you likely won't get it. The 4 hours is very taxing and it sucks they don't give you any feedback on which section didn't go well after interviewing you for such a long time.

1) 30 minutes call with recruiter 2) 1 hour mini product review case study with member of leadership team, 3) power day (5 interviews). All interviews were conducted over phone and zoom.

Multi step interview process led by an internal recruiter. Short (30-60min) first interview with a Product Case, then a "Power Day" that is about five hours with 5 interviews (need to take a day off work for it). Fully remote. Pretty easy experience interview-wise.

Difficult consulting style business cases that didn’t apply to the internal technical Product. Study materials stopped far short of the complexity found on the calls. Very clear one of the interviewers did not want to be on the call, was annoyed by questions and terse.

First, there was a quick call with the recruiter. The recruiter walked me through the process. She was amazing! The second round was with the hiring manager. He was great! The third round was a mini case with a Director whose attitude was extremely poor. He seemed disengaged and looked like he is making me a huge favor for interviewing me, rolled his eyes, and was extremely arrogant. I don't want to work for this company!

First they have an interview that goes over behavioral and short case studies. Then they have 5 Case Studies that are a Hour+ each spread over days. They messed up my schedule and made me get on a call while I was on a break. The interviewer had an accent and just said the whole case study instead of presenting the power point slide. This case study had a lot of calculations that I needed to keep track of. After the interviews I had to reach out after a week or so even though I was told I will find out in 2 days from the recruiter. It was a huge waste of time (7+ hours) and I was told I would be able to take a survey of the interview process which never happened. Horrible experience and I will definitely be avoiding any applications to the company in the future and suggesting the same to people in my network.

Recruiter reached out to me. I had one interview with the recruiter, and a couple weeks later, one with the hiring manager. Did mention there was a power day, but I did not reach it.
