Disorganized and Disrespectful Interview Process at Centigo
I had a very disappointing experience with Centigo’s interview process. Despite participating in two meetings, I was never provided with a job description, nor was I given detailed information about the role or the company by any of the interviewers. This lack of transparency made it difficult to tailor my responses to their specific needs, leaving me to guess what they were looking for.
With over years of consulting experience in sustainability, covering both strategy and implementation, I was confident in my ability to meet the role's requirements. However, without understanding the specifics of the position, it was impossible to fully explain how my experience aligned with their expectations. Additionally, salary expectations were only addressed late in the process, which could have been discussed upfront to save time and avoid unnecessary meetings. I had even asked for the approved salary range in the initial call with the HR to avoid such issues but didn't get any approved budget range from them.
What made the experience worse was the way I was treated regarding my salary expectations. I was insulted for the figure I mentioned, which was both unnecessary and unprofessional. This interaction left me feeling discriminated against, which is not something anyone should have to experience during a job interview.
Overall, the interview process felt disorganized, one-sided, and ultimately disrespectful. Interviews should be a two-way street, but this experience left much to be desired. I appreciate the prompt responses, but I believe there are significant areas for improvement in their recruitment process, particularly in how they treat candidates.
