The interview was very pleasant, and I was optimistic about the prospects they presented. Contrary to the norm, they acknowledged the areas in which they saw the procedures - including training procedures - as lacking, and I felt that candid honesty would foster an environment where staff input was valued towards the shared goal of improving deficiencies where they existed. However, I was to be disappointed, because they are not lacking procedures - training and consistent expectations are completely nonexistent. The portrayal of honesty is a facade, and I saw and suffered through more finger-pointing, back-stabbing, and deceitfulness in this office than I ever experienced in high school. And this is not coming from other staff - all this is perpetrated by the same middle management personnel that professed just the opposite during the interview!
