Anonymous Interview Candidate in Bradford, Yorkshire and the Humber, England
I applied online. I interviewed at Core Prescribing Solutions (Bradford, Yorkshire and the Humber, England) in Feb 2022
Before the interview, there was an exchange of messages on indeed, one of which asked me regarding salary to which I replied saying I was happy with the £16000 (25 hours per week) salary on the advert. After this, they agreed to interview me. The interviewer was very charismatic and excited to talk about his company and his achievements, and gave little time for me to get a word in. At the very end of the 1 hour interview, he mentioned, "oh, by the way, I hope it's not a problem, but I put the wrong salary on the advert, it's actually £15k, not £16, is that ok with you?". I was gobsmacked, but politely said I would think about it. He also asked if being paid "in arrears" was ok, which would mean, eg, I would start 1st February and only get paid 31st March!! Once again, I said I would think about it. Other red flags were: - He asked me if I had kids, how many, and what their ages are (protected characteristics which cant be asked in an interview) - He said he kept any and all CVs that applied to his company, saving all info on a spreadsheet, just in case they would need them later (possible GDPR breach)
- "oh, by the way, I hope it's not a problem, but I put the wrong salary on the advert, it's actually £15k, not £16, is that ok with you?"
