I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Deep Down Design Studios
Interview
Towards graduation at the art institute, a student peer helped me land an internship with a nearby animation company. In research i found they focus on machinery in the oilfield but are planning to make a switch to more entertainment based animations. Using this knowledge I was confident when i was called into an office with a long table and simply spoke of my experiences in animations, what programs i knew how to run and some back and forth on the future of the company to align our expectations of the future and the internship was landed on the spot. I was lucky to have a very laid back yet professional boss who knew what to expect from an intern and how to request it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
'What is your weak point as an animator?' It always feels like they're asking for reasons to turn you down but I've learned to remember that one thing I've struggled on but -have- taken steps to improve, this way if you must expose a weakness make it known its being strengthened. (Do NOT lie as they will remember this point and test your progress)
