telephone interview. This is based on my own interview experience and experience from one other person. Some pointers for interview: 1. The company doesn't actually evaluate your problem solving skills. They just want to know how good you are at memorizing some algorithms. 2. The interviewers are usually untrained for interviews and don't know how to express what they want. 3. memorize the standard algs - selection sort, insertion sort and bucket sort, counting sort. Don't need merge/quick sort. They wont understand it. Usually these algorithms are easy to implement if you think logically. But they expect you to memorize and reproduce code that they saw on some website. So just memorize the standard version. I got rejected even after implementing selection sort and bucket sort and passing the test cases, all within 45-50 min. The interviewer said everything looked good before ending the interview. the reason for rejection- code quality. This is standard stuff and I don't know how anyone can write poor quality code that works, for these algs. The interview left a sour taste and I stopped using door dash. Better consider interview with Doordash as just another mock interview as they just reject without any reason. Finally please dont post the standard reply to this review which says ... "We are constantly working to better our interview process blah blah blah" Its irritating when you say that and don't do anything.
