Started off great - spoke to the recruiter for about 45 minutes. She came to the meeting feeling confident that I could be considered not only for this role, but also for the Onboarding Specialist role. I was feeling really positive about it.
Then, she sent over an assessment. She admitted it was lengthy, but said it should only take a max of 2 hours. The assessment was ridiculously lengthy and it took me all day to complete. It was clearly written by someone who knew the industry very well, and didn't consider that qualified people with experience supporting a different type of product might be applying for this role and don't necessarily know how to create shot lists, etc. Anyway, I was happy to complete it even if it did take me a lot longer than expected and felt confident about it.
2 weeks pass, and I just receive a canned email stating they are moving forward with other candidates. No mention of the other role they had be considering me for or anything. I emailed back asking about the other role, and haven't heard a peep.
Assessments are fine, not advancing is fine, but to tee up from the beginning that I am being considered for two separate roles and then to just fall off the face of the earth after having me work for an entire day is... gross. I can tell by the reviews left for this company I likely dodged a bullet here but still, disappointing.
