Interview
Received a phone call regarding my resume posted on a job board. After a brief, friendly chat, asked to come to agency office for interview. Interview little more than quick info gathering opportunity for manager prior to an informational session for a number of other interviewees detailing the company's history and the earning potential of various job titles within the company. Strong emphasis on income potential being almost solely based on how many appointments agents make, i.e. "make your own schedule ... you control how much you make!" After info session, sent home and told that candidates the agency was interested in hiring would be called for final interview.

Ok, this particular branch were hiring through a recruiter, who were pretty vague about the job. I arrived and it was a group presentation talking about the history of the company etc, and had us fill out a questionairre after. Then I had a brief meeting with a supervising agent - literally less than 10 minute conversation. I got the impression they were just getting a quick read on potential candidates. That evening I got a call from an agency director - we had about a 20 minute conversation where he explained what the job entailed and if I could commit to their schedule etc. That went well enough to get a second interview for the following afternoon. to come in for a second interview for the fol

Question 1
It's selling insurance on commission, so I was mainly asked about my goals, and if I could make the commitment to that sort of job - 1099, commission only, irregular hours, etc.

You have a 2 min quick are you good for this job. Pretty sure they say yes to most all people because they then send you in a room with 10 other people and talk about how much money you can make. It felt like they are trying to sell you a timeshare. Even though you are going to be selling people life insurance. I don't think it's a bad job just not the job for me.
