Interview
Online Application: Submit CV and cover letter through Google's careers portal. Initial Screening: HR reviews applications, selects candidates for interviews. Phone Interviews: 1-2 rounds, usually technical or role-based questions. On-site Interviews: Multiple rounds, including technical, behavioral, and possibly a presentation. Assessment: Technical tests or case studies may be given. Team Matching: If successful, you'll be matched with a team. Offer: Job offer extended, negotiations occur. Background Check: Verification of credentials. Onboarding: Orientation and training after accepting offer.

Behavioral Questions Tell me about a time you led a team. How do you handle stress or tight deadlines? Technical Questions Explain how a specific algorithm works. Solve coding problems on a whiteboard or online platform. Role-Specific Questions For a Product Manager: How would you prioritize features for a new product? For a Software Engineer: Describe the architecture of a recent project. Google-Specific Questions Why do you want to work at Google? How would you improve a Google product? Problem-Solving Questions How many golf balls can fit in a school bus? Design an app for [specific scenario]. Cultural Fit Questions How do you like to collaborate with team members? What is your approach to work-life balance? Case Studies You may be given real-world scenarios to analyze and discuss. Technical Tests Coding challenges, data analysis tasks, etc.
You would have to do a hiring assessment first, then a recruiter screening follows. First round interview with the hiring manager. Majorly product sense and product improvement. The questions were not direct though.
Overall a lot of steps to the interview process. Talked to different people and had opportunities to ask questions. Many different stages which made it a lengthy process overall. Wasn't too bad.
