First Recruiter reached out to me. Then there was a Codility test. Codility test duration was 90 minutes. There were 2 Codility problems. They were not difficult, but lengthy. I was able to solve it in 75 minutes.
After the test, there was a first-round interview scheduled for 75 minutes. There was an sr engineer and a new college grad in the panel. She told me that he is shadowing. They were on zoom but wouldn't switch on video. She asked me to tell about myself and started to get restless while I talk as if I am wasting time, She instantly posted a Codility link and asked me to solve it. I tried to explain it to her first but was instantly told to code. They allowed me to code in IDE. When it worked, she gave me one more problem to solve. This was difficult and lengthy than the first. I was able to code but did not have time to run. While I was coding, the fresh grad guy was typing constantly. It was very annoying. I thought that guy may be solving the problem parallelly.
It was a humiliating experience. These 2 problems were similar to the take-home assignments. I did not understand the purpose. It was like 2 people watching while you write an exam. One of the Youtube videos mentions that they look for culture fit, Nothing of that sort happened during the interview. They did not mention that I am going to have 2 solve 2 problems upfront.
Overall it was a negative experience. It is the worst interview among the interviews I attended in recent years.
