Interview

Really well organised and interesting although intense. It is a very long process and after passing the assessment day you are left waiting. There is plenty of information but you’re still unsure if the next chapter and are very left in the dark for a while.

    Assessment day: Role play scenarios, maths and english exam and fitness tests. All smooth and very well organised. Make sure you do some preparation, you will need it. All officers are ex officers so ask questions if you need to!Very good experience

    You have to do an online maths and English test very basic once completed your incited to do fitness test which is very very easy, a medical, 5 scenarios where actors play prisoners they change but one will shout at you alot and one will ask you to do something a little naughty. Then another easy English and maths test! Done

    Challenging and fun recruitment assessment day which involved fitness testing, an english and maths test, and five role play scenarios which were filmed and live monitored. Each scenario presented a different challenge and you are assessed as to how you deal with challenging situations.

    The process was much more straight forward than it is today. Although it was still designed to test you character and honesty. Two governors on a panel each taking turns to ask questions to find out what what kind of person you are and whether you will suit the day to day stresses that the prison service can bring
