Application
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Harrods in December 2015.
Interview
Consists of online application, online situational judgement test, (if successful) a telephone interview, (if successful) an assessment centre. At the assessment centre you were given information about Harrods and what it's like to work there over the Christmas period. Afterwards, you introduce yourself, take part in a group task, then sell a product they give you for 30 seconds. The process was fairly simple and as long as you have researched the company, the questions they ask shouldn't be a problem/ difficult. Be as confident as you can and show them you care about providing their excellent customer service.
Currently waiting on an outcome of the assessment centre. Can take up to 10 days for them to let you know.

Application
I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Harrods in October 2015.
Interview
1) Submitted CV and completed Situational Judgemental Test. Test should be completed within 24/48 hours.
2) If successful in Screening Process, then you are invited for the telephone interview. Telephone interview includes a few questions about your availability (If your are not fully flexible to work any day during the week and if you cannot start ASAP, then you are declined instantly). Questions such as "Why Harrods?", "give an example when you delivered excellent customer service", "how do you ensure that you maximise every sales opportunity?"
3) if you pass telephone interview you are invited to assessment centre. Roughly 12-15 people. One by one you stand up and introduce yourself, why harrods and what is your favourite department.
Then you are asked to think about the three most important things harrods customers expect from harrods employees. You are also asked to think about one service line harrods could introduce in the future. Then you are split into groups to discuss these and then asked to present it in front of the recruiter as a group.
Finally everyone is given a random card with a product on it. You each have three minutes to prepare your sales pitch and then sell the product in front of everyone and the recruiter in 30 seconds, 30 seconds feels much shorter when you are up there so get the main points mentioned.
4) OFFER. (Assessment centre is the final stage of the Christmas temp process)
