Interview process was pretty standard. They had me fill out an online application and complete an assessment. Then went in for an in person interview. The in person interview happened inside the store.
- Why did I leave my last job.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Helzberg Diamonds in Jan 2024
Very long, disjointed, and drawn out with poor communication and follow-through. Total of 7-10 interviews first via Teams then on site. I got the sense they don't have an idea of what they are doing in this highly technical(analytics/data science) space based on my conversations with the VPs etc. Additionally, the culture seemed very political and old-school, and the interview process was reflective of that, and based on some probing I distilled that their infra and processes were very outdated and the personas involved in the process confirmed that through some consultative interviewing of the interviewers. Additionally, as a side note, the offices were structured in an open plan with people sitting on top of each other and the lights were insanely bright in the office meaning computer-heavy workers would likely be impacted negatively through eye strain and the pit-style workspace would be a challenge. Overall would not recommend based on my personal experiences and opinions.
- Standard interview questions, tell me about a time you...etc Most of the interviewers were not analytics pros and so the conversations were not specific to the tech stack or methods.

Easy going. Professional. Detailed and informative. Helzberg has a very welcoming atmosphere. Each store is different so your experience will be based off the team and manager on site. I had a positive experience with my interview at Helzberg in Summit Woods Lees Summit

Did an in person interview and another over zoom. The interview process was very time consuming and took over a month. As with most jewelers there is a background check

Met with high-level executive very quickly, having that type of accessibility is rare in the interview process. Got a good sense of the company culture and was able to get a full tour of the offices, complete with meeting other members of the team.

The manager was dishonest about the earning potential and growth potential and after I took the job, despite performance, I was making far less than I expected. It’s a good entry level position but not right for a seasoned professional.
- Questions about the sales process

I went to the career fair and spoke to the main recruiter. A few days after, the manager called and asked to interview me. The managers asked a series of standard behavior questions about retail and customer service, and asked for more detail about my past internship experiences. Straight-forward and very friendly.
- Tell me about a time you faced an angry customer and how did you handle it?

Helzberg Diamonds interview process was easy. The manager I interviewed with was highly professional. He made me very comfortable during the meeting and was very personable. Once applied, I received a call back within 72 hours and went in for an interview the next day. I was offered the position within the next week. All in all, loved working for this company.
