I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hunter Business School (Levittown, NY) in Nov 2018
Interview
Very easy interview process - met with Career Services Manager for about 10 - 15 minutes, and was joined by president of the school for a further 20 minutes in panel interview.
Conversation was candid and very straight forward. Outlined basic needs of position, what to expect and explained how the school operates. Made it clear that unmotivated students would be biggest obstacle to success which could undermine your employment. Explained recruiting agency-like student placement metrics.
Seemed put-off when asked about advancement opportunities. They made it clear that the CSA position is just that...the position you are in is the position you stay in. There is no advancement, level or salary increase at any point. I appreciated their transparency, but I immediately lost interest in the position when it was revealed to be a dead-end job. Their demeanor changed at this point, and it was clear they were not interested in hiring someone with advancement aspirations.
Did not receive professional courtesy of a callback or e-mail. I would not have accepted the position due to lack of growth opportunities, but lack of follow-up was disappointing.
