I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at IBM (London, England) in May 2010
Interview
I went through the normal online application process and was eventually asked to take the IPATO test. The test itself was fairly easy, progressively getting more difficult. Matrix manipulations, etc. Something was going on with the servers and each time I clicked to the next page, it would take 2-3 minutes to load the page, but the timer continued. A very frustrating process. I sent IBM multiple emails immediately after the test explaining the situation. The only response I received was the dreaded "Sorry, you didn't pass." I promptly wrote back to the sender of the rejection quoting my message to the technical team, but so far have heard no response. With these big companies, sometimes the turnaround is just painful.
Application, assessment centre then two stages of interviews. First interview with recruitment team, then with the hiring. Interview process was fairly straight foreward and nothing strenous out of the ordinary.

Question 1
Name a time you have had to deal with a difficult team member?
Very friendly interview with PMO, area manager & HR manager. Two rounds, one online & one in person later. Basic questions about current job, future aspirations in IT roles. It was not a very formal process, so it was quite smooth.
1 h conversation over teams. Too many people on call. Not enough time to ask your questions. All wanted to ask specific question to their area. Not sure all related to position
