Went through recruiter screen, met hiring manager, peer, then next level of leadership, then the next level of leadership, a panel of three people, then an adjacent team’s leadership and after having 7 meetings with 9 people over nearly 2 months, finally received an automated rejection with no human contact. And this was for an individual contributor role, not leadership. I don’t think I’ve ever had a company string me along so long and then not even have the decency to personally share the news. I’m also pretty sure they didn’t end up hiring anyone for this role.
