I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's (Washington, MO) in Oct 2012
Interview
I was called in for an interview, and few days later, I met with one of the managers in an office in the back of the department store. The interview lasted about 15-20 minutes. Asked various questions about my personality type and why I might be a good fit for the job, etc. They told me they could see me fitting in as one of their people up front (meaning check/POS). I heard back from them about a week later and started training shortly after. Once hired, they make you take all these tests on the computer and watch various videos in addition to hands-on portion of the training. Training takes several shifts, but obviously you are compensated.
